Michèle gets stuck at a gas station next to the highway in her attempt to hitchhike to Brussels. When night starts to fall, she’s left with no other choice but to trust the unusual hospitality of a complete stranger.
Being an avid hitchhiker, I would often find myself lost, wondering around huge gas stations along the highway, looking for the next ride. I always found these places to possess a strange atmosphere, hypermodern giants in the middle of nowhere that are always open, but feel alienating. I decided that for my graduation film this peculiar place would form the perfect arena where two lost strangers accidentally meet and find something humane on a location that is so void of it.
With this film I graduated with honours in film directing from the LUCA School of Arts.
