Het Harmonium (English: The Harmonium) is a short magical-realism short film currently in development.
Ruben (28, Dutch newspaperman) is what you'd call typically northern; very down-to-earth. On one of his early morning runs he hears Anna (Ukrainian musician, 47) play her violin. When she notices him listening, she invites him in and they have a tea. The meeting leaves a big impression on Ruben and seems to awaken an artistic need within him of which he until then wasn't aware.
Early 2023 the project got selected for Het Beloofde Land, a film development lab for regional films in the NL.
